About Fernando
Fernando Marroquín, has left a significant mark in communication, politics, and technology in El Salvador. Graduating as an Architect from "José Simeón Cañas" Central American University, he furthered his education with a Master's in Political Science there and embraced international opportunities, including a specialized program of Digital Government from IADB in Seoul and a digital journalism course from Reuters.In El Salvador's public administration, Marroquín played crucial roles. Between 2012-2019, he progressed from Communication Coordinator for the Undersecretariat of Transparency and Anti-Corruption to the Director of Communication and Technology for the Presidency at the Secretariat of Citizen Participation, Transparency and Anti-Corruption. His most notable achievement, the Transparency Portal, provided unprecedented access to government data, recording over 50 million document downloads.In the private sector, Marroquín founded NÓMADA LATAM in 2019, an innovative agency catering to communication needs in Central America and the U.S., emphasizing electoral campaign consulting and audiovisual production. He also co-established Analystic Data Centroamérica, a leader in digital research and data analytics, and Nextilo El Salvador, a boutique known for its interior, landscape, and commercial architectural designs.Today, as an independent consultant, Marroquín leverages his vast experience, assisting Central American and the U.S. organizations or public figures. Always at the cutting edge, he is committed to innovation and seeks opportunities to contribute and grow in our dynamic world.
